Patricia Brown is a versatile abstract painter who works in a range of media; i.e., oil, acrylic watercolor, mixed media and collage. Her innovative and colorful paintings have won numerous awards including the Award of Excellence from Manhattan Arts International Magazine, and the Award of Distinction from Rockport Publishers. She has had many one-person exhibitions, including those at the Half Moon Bay Museum, CA, Grants Pass Museum of Art, OR, and Gallery One in Ellensburg, WA. Her painting, "A Rose is a Rose" was selected by Ambassador Maisto for a three year exhibition at the U.S. Embassy in Managua, Nicaragua. Patricia’s work has appeared in many fine art publications. It was featured on the title page and other pages of Rockport Publisher’s book "The Best of Sketching and Drawing", in addition to "Creative Inspirations", and "The Best of Oil Painting", also published by Rockport. She was selected among artists worldwide to appear as one of "The Artists in the 1990’s" in Manhattan Arts International Magazine and her work is currently featured on the magazine’s web site at www.ManhattanArts.com. Among the artist’s many other honors, she was selected to be included in Broderbund Software’s edition of Print Shop Deluxe and Version 6 of Print Shop.
